A new year and a new Shunk Short film shoot. This time with James Oldham on DP duties, directed by Sam and Paul, its a weird shock horror called Hungry Joe. In condemned houses in Wotton-under-edge in South Glos, and a farm towards Cheddar, it certainly stretched the low budget lighting set up to its limits. Using Skypanels, HMI’s and Par cans to achieve the look James was wanting was challenging and fun. Ably assisted by Mike Sides and Serg Bozoks, we managed to light it all up, without anyone getting hurt. The night shoot on the farm looks particularly sexy, even if I do say so myself. Freezing but fun times with the Shunk boys to start the year off well.
